this book should be interesting to a pre-teen/young teen boy.the book does a great job of showing very positive values, like education, friendship, good parents, respect, loyalty, a respect for others.
Mike Madison is the young sleuth and he's a great kid with awesome parents. his parents also have some very impressive friends who have the background, experience, knowledge, training or education, and importantly, they have access to aid and bring to a successful close, the investigations in this book .
i'm at 86% of the book and kinda bored. i don't think i'll finish it. but if i had a child in the appropriate age group, i'd buy every one of the books in this series and would encourage him/her to tell me about it.
the book's writing is clear and the plot will be believable and i think, exciting, to the intended reader. it's very close to being a sophisticated comic book, but remains above that.

Love it sooooo much !!!!! The series is just really great for all ages to read can't find that much these days!
Have read both of Bracy Ratcliff's books and loved both of them. My grandchildren were thrilled to receive these for special ocassions. Held you interest and kept you spell bound. Can not wait for another one to come out. Hurry Bracy...
Book was well written and fun to read. The characters were believable. This book would be perfect for a middle grade reader. Easy to follow storyline with a few twists and turns that keep the reader involved. A good follow up book to the first Mike Madison adventure.
